A review of human rights laws

 

    All human rights laws were studied by Majlis research Center



In response to Fateme Alia's request, a member of parliamentary foreign policy and national security committee, "the permission of joining Iran international covenants o­n economic, social, cultural, civil, and political rights" was ratified by Iranian parliament o­n 7th May 1975 that according to it, the same and nonnegotiable right of freedom, justice, and world peace was recognized for all members of human family, legal studies office stated. But the background of human rights laws refers to the beginning of 13th century and available documents show that our country with rich history and culture and high (Islamic) religion has been as a pioneer in keeping human rights laws as it is used today, it added; saying as public relations office.

     Furthermore, different areas of human rights laws were explained by Majlis Research Center such as women and family, children and teenagers, privacy, freedom of speech and freedom of information, religious and ethnical minorities, disabled, labor, welfare and social security, and evenhanded justice. 

     Undoubtedly, there are many human rights laws that more efforts should be made to reach them, Majlis Research Center concluded.
